President
The President is responsible for overseeing the planning and goal setting of the organization and conducting business and board meetings and monitoring the progress of the chapter. They are also responsible for setting a positive example for the chapter members and members of the community. The president is responsible for public presentations and speeches. The role of the president is not one to be taken lightly. The role of the president greatly influences the member’s attitude and the way that the public views the Jaycees.
Management Development VP
The MDVP is responsible for providing projects and programs that support CD and ID activities. The MDVP is also the key person in recruiting and activating of new members through the use of Springboard and the Degrees programs. The MDVP is also the person that sets up the board of Director’s for intra-chapter communications to JCI on local and state levels.
Community Development VP
The CDVP is responsible for developing programs and activities designed to eliminate community problems and provide community service. The CDVP provides the ways and means for the chapter through fundraising activities. The CDVP aids the chapter members in running projects and learning the fundamentals of the CPG’s.
Individual Development VP
The IDVP is responsible for the development and implementation of programs designed to assist members in the growth of personal life skills. Some of these include leadership dynamics, personal dynamics and communications.
Membership Development VP
The MDVP is responsible for receiving membership dues from the members and keeping track of renewals and new members. This person is also responsible for maintaining to help advertise the Jaycee organization to help in the area of recruiting new members and to keep the public aware that the Jaycees are involved in the community.
State Director
The State Director is the liaison between your local chapter and the state organization. The State Director is also responsible for setting up visitations to other chapters and helping the local chapter keep up to date with state events. The State Director represents the chapter at all state meetings.
Secretary
The Secretary provides the necessary correspondence to the chapter and prepares meeting minutes. They are responsible to ensure that the minutes are printed in the publication of the newsletter. The Secretary ensres that all new members have name badges as well.
Treasurer
The Treasurer is responsible for maintaining the chapter’s financials: records, statements and budget. The treasurer works closely with the project chair person on the financial portion of the community events and other service projects. The current treasurer is responsible for all accounts in the Jaycee name and reporting to the chapter on a regular basis the accounts summary.
